Arsenal: World class players or not?

Robin Van Persie – World class all the way. He has everything pace, finishing, he’s two footed and a leader. Many people doubted he was the right choice for the captaincy but talk about leading by example that is what he does. When he’s not injured he’s one of the best strikers if not the best in the world. He could walk into any team in the world and to me that makes him world class.

Jack Wilshere – He will be. He is undoubtedly the best English midfielder and will one day captain his country and I don’t think he is too far down the pecking order to be the next Arsenal captain if heaven forbid Van Persie leaves. He is the most exciting English player since dare I say Rooney and at the mere age of 19 I dread to think how world class he will be.

Aaron Ramsey – Bags of potential but right now he tends to shine more for Wales than Arsenal. His passing is a joy to behold. I think every Arsenal fan appreciates and is excited to see just how good Rambo will be. With Wilshere injured and Fabregas and Nasri gone he has sat in midfield and made it look just as classy.

Thomas Vermalen – To me he is world class. The goals he scored in his first season show he isn’t scared to get forward. His ability to make our shaky back four stable is something not many defenders could do. When he is injured the amount we miss him proves his worth when he is playing his tackling and positioning is world class. A definite captain if Van Persie leaves.

Mikel Arteta – He could have been in my opinion if he had not spent so much time at Everton. Had a big team bought him when he was in so much form for them he would have been world class. He would have made more appearances for his national side and all that would have made him into a world class player. He is a great player there is no doubt about that and at 29 some may say we’ve got him at his peak the worrying thing is we haven’t had him long enough.
